Steve Nison Webinar Rescheduled

Tonight has been one of my most frustrating nights in recent memory.

Steve Nison is the foremost expert on Japanese Candlesticks and we had a full room of traders in attendance. Unfortunately some technical incompetence by our webhosting provider derailed what was shaping up to be a great night.

Below is an email that I sent to all in attendance:

Thank you for registering and attending Steve Nison's special Webinar tonight. I sincerely apologize for the technical difficulties we encountered tonight.

I have been actively involved in why it happened, and it is a service failure by our web hosting service provider In2Net located here in Vancouver, BC. It has come to my attention that they have had 3 power failures in the past 24 hours, and they elected to change a breaker at 6 p.m. PT without any notification to us.

That is the reason why none of our web presence is operational as of this time. This is unacceptable to us, and I again apologize for any frustration this may have caused you.

I have just spoken with Steve and he has graciously elected to reschedule this event for next Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET).

Further information will be sent on this tomorrow. For further updates please visit the Trading Post Blog at www.tradingpostfinancial.com/blog.

Sincerely,

Samuel Araki
VP, Marketing Communications

PS ... In2Net's emergency number which I will call to express my thoughts is 604.608.6868, ext. 601. Ironically, its own website is operational.

A Site for Forex News Aggregation

A word like "aggregation" doesn't seem to really fit, but it's the best descriptor I could think about.

From the creators of Babypips has come a site called Freshpips.com which is a collection of news submitted by Forex traders. With increased web evolution we're awash in "Web 2.0" technologies and it was only a matter of time before someone on the Forex side created a Digg like destination for Forex traders to come to.

Digg, for those who aren't familiar is a site where its users submit any online news they deem to be substantive, and other users "Digg" or vote on whether they agree or disagree. Logic would indicate that the most popular articles would have the most prominent placement on the site.

It's a similar philosophy with Freshpips.com and thanks to Ray for giving me the heads up on this new site.
