Cascading thoughts. I've had one thought after another this morning.
I just finished eating a breakfast burrito (I like breakfast type of items anytime of the day), and it was from a place called Steamrollers here in Vancouver that steams all of its burrito fillings. Mine just had egg in it and I opted for the spinach tortilla.
As a borderline diabetic I'm watching what I eat, and taking it easy on my carbohydrate intake is a big step.
While I ate, I wondered if Google owns all of the conventional domain extensions. So I typed in Google.net, check; Google.biz, check; Google.org, check - and hold on a second here it's the home of the Google philanthropy.
We all take so much from the world, and what do we give back?
I think of a frequent trader in the Online Training Rooms, where I host a session about Trading and Technology. John and I have had some great conversations that have nothing to do about trading, and I'm fascinated by him.
Fascinated because he is almost completely self-reliant. Living on his own farm, growing fruits and vegetables and bartering them for other goods and services, implementing alternative energy sources around his home, maintaining a herb garden with over 150 varieties, and maintaining a storage of food.
I thank John for giving me a great perspective on my health situation. Diabetes is an out of control epidemic, really. We're surrounded by processed, fast, and unbalanced foods. Do you realize how many types of sweeteners are used to make various foods taste good nowadays?
Believe me, I'm not a health nut all of a sudden, but I've gained deeper perspective from someone I've met in the Online Training Rooms here at Trading Post. The best learning in our lives happen after we can ponder what we've heard.
That underscores the title of this post, and proves to me that the trading community is rich, not just of people who can help us to trade better, but it is also rich with people who can also help us to live better.
